and all of a sudden... you get a nice little
pop-up window....

meh... no problem.

one pop-up window is kinda like flies at
a picnic -- unavoidable (unless you have a
gay pop-up stopper! -- which is gay because
you have to determine which pop-ups you
wanna keep open... yadda yadda yadda).
enough! i'm not talking about a pop-up stopper!


so anyways... here is this little pop-up...

so you go to CLOSE this little pop-up....

but for some reason... the pop-up seems to
SENSE what you are about to do... and BAM!
a bazillion more pop-up.


heh... you think i'm kidding about a bazillion?
i'm so not.

imagine getting...oh.... lets say SIXTY
pop-ups hitting your screen in a matter of
about 5 seconds.... ok... maybe 7 seconds.
unbelieveable? NO, i say!

so in the midst of seeing this frikken
escapade going on your screen... you try
to stop it... because you have NO IDEA
how many more pop-ups are coming...
is there a limit? a plateau?? does the pop-up
maker need a break?

so you try to close one or twenty... and
twenty more come up in their place...

and suddenly you realize you have just been
ear-marked for a duel that didn't exist
30 seconds ago.

so you think you are clever... and try to
close the group... or reboot... or some
shit like that...

naturally as i already said... i have no
clue what is causing it... it could be
attributed to ANY frikken thing i have on
here... or maybe something external that
i happened upon, i just dunno.

i really have no clue wtf is causing it...
because i maintain my pc regularly (and i
mean REGULARLY!) ok.. so i don't have a
bunch of fancy shit on my pc... but i do
delete unnecessary shit... and i do scan it
and rub it and feed it canned meat...

Well you could have a look in your control panel in the Add/Remove Programs and see if it is in there... sometimes the programmers allow it to, but there are some (Hayley has a shit load on her computer) that don't...

You could try searching your HD to find a folder / files and delete them... OR from the Run command type "regedit" and look through that until you find something that looks like it might belong to those bastards.

But just don't accidentally change anything in there coz you'll fuck things up big time.

Other than that I dunno.

do a search on your C drive and look for anything added in that time frame then narrow it down and eliminate. Or I am guessing someone else has done the same thing. Have TG search the web for removal info. DANCE MONKEY or something like that

try installing ad-aware. That's a progam that sweeps your hard drive for malicious progams that try to force-feed you commercials, or collect data on you, or might damage your system. (But it's not a virus scanner.).

Oh, and the next time that shit with the pop-ups happens. Hit CTR-ALT-DELETE. And end the task called "explorer" or "iexplore". That _will_ close all your internet explorer windows, but also the pop-ups without you rebooting.
